Petrolimex chairman Pham Van Thanh extends Lunar New Year 2026 greetings

Dear leaders of the Group, leaders of our member units, and all employees of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex),
During the recent Lunar New Year, while many families gathered for reunion meals, thousands of our officers and employees across the Petrolimex network were quietly on duty at warehouses, depots, petrol stations, and vessels to ensure that the flow of petroleum remained uninterrupted. I deeply appreciate and empathise with these silent sacrifices. My dear colleagues, it is this very dedication that forms the foundation of the trust that our customers, the community, and most importantly, the Party and the Government have placed in Petrolimex over many years.
In the warm and joyful atmosphere of the first working days of Spring 2026, the Year of the Horse, on behalf of the Party Committee, the Board of Management, and the Board of Directors, I would like to extend my warmest and best wishes to all employees and your families. I feel a profound sense of pride to stand within a collective that has remained bonded, shared burdens, and overcome numerous challenges together. I wish every Petrolimex family health and peace; and I hope our collective will continue to uphold our solidarity, resilience, and the highest sense of responsibility toward the nation and its people—just as we have done throughout our journey of more than seven decades.
It is from this very sense of pride and belonging that I wish to express my most sincere gratitude to every one of you, those who worked tirelessly and contributed in silence to the Group throughout 2025. What we have achieved goes far beyond revenue, profit, or exceeding targets. It is the stability of our supply chain under all circumstances; it is the shifts performed with absolute safety despite harsh weather; and it is the smooth operation of our entire system, ensuring that not a single link was broken. Above all, it is the trust that customers, shareholders, and society place in the Petrolimex brand, a trust built upon the responsibility, discipline, and devotion of every individual in our great family.

A new year always brings new faith and aspirations. However, 2026 holds even greater significance: it is the first year we implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and marks the beginning of our 5-Year Strategic Plan for 2026–2030. As a new phase begins, the most important task is not merely setting more goals, but clearly defining our roadmap for the entire journey, ensuring that every decision made today serves our long-term objectives for the future.
The nation is entering a new era of development, aspiring for double-digit growth and aiming for breakthroughs in productivity, infrastructure, industry, and digital transformation to assert a stronger presence both regionally and internationally. This trajectory implies that the demand for stable, high-quality, and safe energy will continue to rise. As a key State-owned enterprise, Petrolimex serves as a vital foundation ensuring that these growth objectives are realised.
However, alongside these opportunities are increasingly clear challenges: the energy transition, emission reduction requirements, higher environmental standards, fiercer competition, and the demand for more transparent and professional governance. We cannot remain outside these trends, nor can we afford to fall behind the momentum of the national economy.
Therefore, every member of the Petrolimex family must be more deeply cognizant than ever of our responsibility toward the country’s development goals—specifically the double-digit growth targets in the coming period. When the economy accelerates, if energy is not guaranteed to flow seamlessly, safely, and efficiently, all production, investment, and consumption plans will be compromised. Our responsibility, therefore, is not merely to meet business targets but to safeguard the energy 'lifeline' of the nation's development.
2026 is therefore a pivotal year for the Group to consolidate the foundation for the entire 2026–2030 cycle. If our foundations in governance, technology, and organisation are not firmly established from the outset, we will face frequent adjustments later and risk losing our competitive advantage. Conversely, if every unit and every officer is clearly aware of their role within the nation’s larger picture, we will create a collective strength powerful enough to align with our shared development goals.
Driven by these practical requirements, the '3 Transformations' directive set by the Group is not a mere slogan or a short-term movement; it is a logical continuation of our innovation process over recent years and the essential axis of development for the coming period. These three pillars—digital transformation, green transformation, and cultural & organisational transformation—are how we actively shape our future. Let us remember them concisely: Digital transformation to make Petrolimex a smarter and more competitive enterprise; Green transformation to go further; and Cultural transformation for our Group to innovate and endure.
Entering 2026, these three transformations will continue to evolve synchronously and more powerfully, integrated into a seamless action programme across the entire Group. Specifically, we will vigorously implement human resource transformation, reshape our corporate culture, launch a new brand identity system, and transform our retail station network with new service culture standards. Furthermore, we will comprehensively upgrade the customer experience on a smart digital platform, creating substantive changes from the very first year of the five-year plan.

Great responsibility always comes with great pride. To be a member of Petrolimex today means that we are contributing directly to the operation of the national economy, the stability of the market, and the trust of society.
Spring is always the season of youth, of aspirations, and of new beginnings. I place immense faith in the younger generation of Petrolimex—dynamic, creative staffers who master technology and are ready to commit themselves to our cause. You are the pioneer force in our transformation and the new energy that will drive the Group toward a breakthrough in the coming period.
I am confident that, with a tradition spanning over seventy years and a spirit of discipline and solidarity forged through many challenging eras, the entire Group will enter the Year of the Horse with a new mindset—more proactive, more decisive, and more responsible.

'Taking you further' means that every member of the Petrolimex family sets a higher standard for themselves than yesterday. It means that no unit settles for past achievements, but always seeks to do better, faster, and more efficiently. It means the entire Group shares one will and one pace, moving toward the great goals of our nation.
My hope for this Spring is that we carry more than just a new spirit; we must carry a promise to ourselves: to work with total responsibility, to innovate with total aspiration, and to move forward with total faith.

The Lunar New Year holidays have now concluded. I demand that the entire system immediately return to work with the highest sense of urgency, discipline, and responsibility. There must be no delays and no mere formalities; every plan must be implemented substantively from these very first days of the year.
By doing so, when we look back on the road ahead, we can proudly say: every step Petrolimex took was marked by the effort, wisdom, and heart of every individual in this great family. And together, we truly did move further.
